After reading email and editing profiles all morning, I decided to take a trip to the library. I already had some books to take back, and I was amped to get some more things.
I’ve always been the type of person who likes to peruse the library shelves looking for works that pop-out at me. I’m really not discriminatory on titles, sections, authors or genres.
I tend to read, well, anything. And I do mean ANYTHING.
While carefully selecting titles that piqued my interest, I had an epiphany. Why not share what I pick up?
So after today’s visit my long print out of a receipt read as such:
Renewal – From Where You Dream by Robert Olen Butler (very good read for fiction writers by the way)
Man Down by Dan Abrams
Good Poems for Hard Times selected and introduced by Garrison Keillor
Love Poems and Sonnets of William Shakespeare
Today I Wrote Nothing selected writings of Daniil Kharms
The Real World of Sherlock Holmes by Peter Costello
It’s not a spicy selection but it is an interesting one.
I’ll keep you posted on the books I am reading and my thoughts on my random choices.
Until next time.
