While I am not in the music industry, I am still a huge lover of music.
Today is a sad day in music as Whitney Houston, at the age of 48, has passed away.
I grew up listening to Whitney and her hypnotic voice. The power behind her vocals could stop anyone is their tracks. She took R & B by storm at a young age and had everyone hanging from her every word.
Whitney Houston won 2 Emmys, 6 Grammys, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards and countless other awards throughout her career. She is still said to have sung the best version of “The Star-Spangled Banner” at a sporting event.
It was a tremendous shock to hear of Whitney’s passing. She will be greatly missed.
