Take off the chain of space and time
that we have created for ourselves
Take off the mask of friend and mate
that we have grown used to within ourselves
Take off the bind of trust and lust
that we have tortured ourselves
Take off the shield of faith and hope
that we have concocted for ourselves
Take off the cloak of deception and lies
that we have protected ourselves
Take it all away
from ourselves
in the space and time
we’ve been friends and mates
because of no trust and lust
we pretend to have faith and hope
when we’re made of deception and lies
