Hey there, Beautiful Ones! Ever felt like you are not yet a grown-up? I can relate. I thought I became a grown person when I got married, had children, and had all the adult responsibilities. I had the bills, the car loans, and the never-ending pile of laundry to prove it. Little did I know, I had not actually stepped into adulthood. And when it comes to my creations, I definitely was only a child.
Now, I know you may be thinking, “But, Trina, you are a grown-up.” In age, yes, but in spirit, I am still in the rebirth phase. I had so many limiting beliefs that I acted and reacted immaturely to almost everything. Even when I thought I was making a grown-up decision, I realized that the decisions I made came from a place of hurt, pain, and neglect that my inner child had suffered and I never got over.

The Playground of Limiting Beliefs
I am beginning to grow. Now, that I am aware of my thoughts and emotions and am able to weed through them and understand if it’s truly me or my inner child. Limiting beliefs will keep you in the infancy stage in anything you do, especially as a creator. When you are a creator, there comes a time when you must step out of your adolescence and into the grown-up you know you need to be.
Complaining and doubting are traits of a hurt individual and will do your creations no favors. Having responsibilities doesn’t make you a grown-up. Facing challenges with an open mind and open heart makes you an adult. Expanding and growing make you an adult. Staying in the same limiting cycles does not. You must decide if you will continue in the way you’ve always gone about things or step into your greatness by shedding the past.
Embrace Growth, Shed the Past
When you carry around the past, you cannot grow. Too many of us have been holding on to past pains, mistakes, and trauma that occurred when we were kids, yet believe we have grown up. I am here to tell you, friend, until you step away from the cycles, you will remain a child and never grow into the adult you can be.
So, what’s the solution? It’s time to challenge those limiting beliefs, my dear creators! Here are some action steps to help you shed the past and step into your true adult creative self:

Show Yourself Grace and Understanding
We’ve all made mistakes and carried baggage from our past. It’s time to forgive yourself for any wrong turns you’ve taken. Understand that those decisions were made from a place of limited perspective and old wounds. By showing yourself grace, you pave the way for growth and self-acceptance.
Become Self-Aware
Start paying attention to your thoughts and feelings. Are they truly yours, or are they echoes of childhood wounds? By becoming more self-aware, you can distinguish between the beliefs that hold you back and the ones that propel you forward. This self-awareness is the first step towards breaking free from those limiting cycles.
Choose Growth
Make a conscious choice to step into your adult self. Embrace challenges with an open mind and an open heart. Know that growth often comes with discomfort, but it’s through these challenges that you’ll truly mature as a creator. Choose to expand your horizons, learn from your experiences, and let go of the past.
I believe in you, Beautiful Ones! It’s time to shed those limiting beliefs, embrace your inner adult, and step boldly into the world of creativity. As always, remember, I love you. Now, go create your masterpiece! 🌟
