Don't Know What You Don't Know

Hey there, beautiful ones! Today’s life lesson of 2023 is something that I used to not believe – spiritual awakening and rebirth are real. I have to be honest, over the years anytime someone I knew or heard of someone having a spiritual awakening it usually meant they had stopped doing all the messed up stuff they used to do and now are sanctified. Unfortunately, these were the only examples I had of such a thing. I believed it was an excuse for people to go from party animals to snobs. All of it was a cop out and refused to believe anyone could truly change who they were. Boy was I absolutely wrong. But this is a prime example of what you don’t know you don’t know because I sure had the foggiest idea.

The Misconception Shattered

This past year, I found out a spiritual awakening wasn’t the same as someone who was hiding behind religion to avoid who they’ve been. Spiritual awakening and rebirth occur when you’ve been triggered to a certain point and the world begins to look a bit different. I had no choice but to look at who I’ve been and change the narrative, not by covering my tracks with religious doctrine, but challenging my thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Flipping the Switch: Myth Busted

I had to take a hard look at myself and accept a lot of things I would normally feel ashamed or guilty about. I also found that it’s not as simple as flipping a switch. Spiritual awakening and rebirth are hard work and a lifelong journey. Those who are beginning or continuing to walk this path are true troopers because it takes courage and effort. Also, many people shy away from this path because of its difficulty. I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life.

So, I say all this to say, my friends, spiritual awakening and rebirths are real things and are usually triggered by an emotional need for healing. If you find yourself beginning to question the people, places, and things around you it may be that you are going through a spiritual awakening or rebirth. I hope you are because, while it may be hard, it’s a lot of fun.

Embrace the Journey

In conclusion, life’s unexpected twists and turns often lead us down paths we never imagined. Spiritual awakening and rebirth are not reserved for the saints but are accessible to anyone willing to question, grow, and heal. It’s not about becoming someone else; it’s about becoming the truest version of yourself. So, my beautiful friend, embrace the journey, dance with the unknown, and discover the magic within you.
