Hey there, beautiful ones! Can you believe it? Today marks another trip around the sun for me—it’s my birthday! As I sit down to reflect on the past year, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the transformative journey I’ve been on. Exactly a year ago, I found myself at a crossroads, feeling lost, frustrated, and unsure of where life was taking me. Sound familiar? Well, buckle up, because this story is about embracing change and discovering the power of making different choices.
Letting Go and Growing
A year ago, I made a conscious decision to shake things up. I knew I couldn’t continue down the same path I’d been on. So, I took a leap of faith and started making changes—big ones. It meant saying goodbye to people, habits, and mindsets that no longer served me. And let me tell you, it wasn’t easy. But with every step forward, I felt lighter, freer, and more alive than ever before.
Amidst the chaos of transformation, there was one thing that remained constant: my passion for writing. Despite the uncertainty, I knew deep down that my gift with words could be a beacon of hope for others navigating their own journeys. So, for 296 consecutive days, I poured my heart and soul into sharing my experiences, offering advice, and spreading love to anyone who would listen.
Finding Light in the Darkness
As I celebrate turning 41 today, I’m filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Not only have I shed over 50 pounds (yes, my daughter lovingly dubbed it my “sad weight”), but I’ve also shed layers of doubt, fear, and insecurity. I’ve reconnected with loved ones, rebuilt bridges I thought were burned beyond repair, and rediscovered a zest for life that I thought was lost.
So, to all you gorgeous souls out there, I want you to know this: change is possible. You have the power to rewrite your story, one decision at a time. Don’t be afraid to let go of what no longer serves you. Trust in the journey, and above all, believe in yourself.
As I blow out the candles on my cake today, I’m making a wish for each and every one of you. May you find the courage to embrace change, the strength to let go of what no longer serves you, and the love to light your way forward.
