Set Yourself Free: Embracing the Journey of Authenticity

Hey there, beautiful ones! Let’s talk about setting yourself free. It seems like a pretty simple concept, right? However, it can be one of the most challenging things you do in life. When I say, set yourself free, I mean breaking away from opinions, limiting beliefs, societal norms, childhood teachings, toxic people, and all the emotions that come with them. It’s easy to follow the crowd because society teaches us that being the odd one out is undesirable. However, true freedom lies in embracing your uniqueness.

The Courage to Break Free

I know how hard it is to break free, especially if you’re used to going with the flow of others’ expectations or what you think you’re “supposed” to do. Over the past year, I’ve had to make some incredibly tough decisions, some of which nearly pushed me back into my old cycles because they were so painful. I had to choose: continue living under others’ expectations or liberate myself to be and do what I wanted, without worrying about their opinions.

When you set yourself free, your higher self rejoices, but your heart might feel like it’s breaking—a truly uneasy balancing act. Moving in the direction of your higher self always guides you right, but the human experience challenges you with the sadness of loss. Because that’s what it is—loss. When you choose freedom, you go through stages of grief as you shed your old self.

Embracing the Grieving Process

As you step away from people and places that no longer align with you, you mourn because you’re losing parts of your life. The closer these were to you, the more painful the loss. I’m not telling you this to scare you but to prepare you. The pain is natural, the sadness is real, and the frustration is palpable. In these moments, it might seem easier to turn back. But why would you, when so many possibilities lie ahead?

Feel your feelings, but don’t give in to them. This too shall pass, and you will be better for it. Setting yourself free is tough, but it opens you to new and exciting experiences. Trust the process. Understand that moving forward might mean letting go of people and situations that no longer serve your growth. Mourning these losses is a sign of personal growth and evolution.

Trusting the Journey

The journey to setting yourself free is filled with doubt and hesitation. There will be times when you question if it’s all worth it. But let me assure you, it absolutely is. Embracing your true self, free from societal expectations and others’ opinions, unlocks a world of possibilities. Your potential is limitless, and the only way to tap into it is by being unapologetically you.

So, my lovelies, the moral of the story is: who cares what others think or say? You are the captain of your ship and the master of your soul. You decide how you show up and stand in your power. There is no one like you, which means you don’t have to conform to others’ opinions just because it’s always been done that way. We are in a time when every person must step into the power they were given at birth.

Setting yourself free is a journey filled with challenges and triumphs. Embrace each step, trust your path, and remember that the discomfort you feel is temporary. The freedom and joy that come from living authentically are worth every moment of struggle. I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
