Hey there, beautiful ones. I’m coming in hot today. Let’s dive into a concept that could transform your life: finding God within yourself. Trust me, when you start looking for the divine inside you, your life will change in ways you never imagined.
My Journey Through Religion
I know this because I’ve been there. I was raised as a preacher’s kid, a classic PK, and followed Christianity until I was 25 years old. Then, I converted to Islam and stayed committed for another 15 years. For four decades, I was searching for the “sky daddy” I was promised existed. I begged, cursed, cried to, and praised that god. But the longer I stayed in religion, the more I started to question if “he” was really there. If something good happened, people said “he” was right on time. If something bad happened, “he” was punishing me. It just didn’t add up.
I couldn’t understand why, even though I was a good person, things just wouldn’t work out for me. Religion teaches some pretty harsh concepts. If I’m not perfect, I’m going to hell. But wait, I don’t have to be perfect, as long as I ask for forgiveness? Heaven is supposed to be this amazing place with all the material stuff you could want, which sounds suspiciously like Earth. Sorry to burst your bubble, but this is hell, people. Look at the state of the world: wars, genocides, poverty, hunger, and blatant disrespect for basic human rights. No one can convince me this isn’t hell, especially if you watch the news, which I avoid because it’s designed to keep us in fear.
Embracing the Divine Within
For 40 years, I searched for God outside of myself, and it was all in vain. On my 40th birthday, I decided to denounce all religions and start looking for God within me. Now, let me be clear, I still believe in the beautiful messages of religions, but the patriarchal systems they are built on? Not my thing anymore. Finding the God within has changed my life in ways I can’t even begin to explain. Seeing the divine in myself has transformed how I see people, the world, and the vast universe we are part of. Now, I view the world through a lens of love, joy, peace, and freedom for every living being.
Religion has been divisive since its inception. It’s all about control, with the same stories being told by men who may not practice what they preach. Every major religion has committed atrocities in the name of their god. What kind of god is okay with that if we are supposed to love one another? The golden rule is to treat others as you wish to be treated, yet we fight over left and right, black and white, rich and poor. It’s absurd. None of that matters.
The Power of Self-Realization
Until we see the God within ourselves, our world will continue on this destructive path. Cooperation is key, and we can’t achieve that if we refuse to connect with people because they don’t share our beliefs about the “sky daddy.” God is in you. We are all one. I am you, you are me. We’re living different experiences, but that’s the point. Our focus should be on collectively moving our world forward, regardless of those differences.
There are people out there who believe they are gods. Why shouldn’t you? These people aim to control the collective, and we’ve been so conditioned to their shenanigans that we go along with it. We can change the world if we stop looking up to a god and start looking within for God. I promise you’ll find him faster. I am living proof. There are many in the collective who are proof. We move differently, and we are the driving force behind the advancement of our planet. But we cannot do so if we continue on the current path.
When you see the God in you, it radiates out and elevates your surroundings. So, my friends, do what you need to do, but give this some thought. You are more powerful than you think. I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you.
