Hey there, beautiful ones!
Are you afraid of the dark? Odd question, right? Well, there’s a point to it. When I started out as a writer, I knew I wanted to help people through my words. However, I wasn’t sure how to go about it. I thought if I talked about my pain, sadness, and trauma, it would help me as well as others somehow. But honestly, it was a bad move. All I was doing was leaning into these emotions and focusing on things I needed to get through. I was also triggering others unknowingly. All I knew was I wanted to help somehow, some way. The problem was that I had not begun to really help myself.

The Journey Through Therapy and Spiritual Awakening
Once I started therapy, I thought that would help, and while it did to a certain extent, it still wasn’t flowing into my writing. I was afraid of my own darkness. And then it happened – my spiritual awakening. It occurred because I decided not to be afraid of the dark for the first time in my life. Instead of leaning on friends or even a professional, I turned away from the life I was living and walked full-on into the dark. It was scary at first, and I felt like I was retraumatizing myself with certain things. However, I kept going.
Slowly but surely, I started to see a tiny light, barely visible. Every time I would try to turn back, I found I was more afraid of where I had come from than where I might end up. So I kept going. Eventually, the light got bigger, but that took time, effort, and patience. I was determined to brighten the darkness within me. It was in the darkness that I realized how I could help others.

Writing to Help Others: My Daily Mission
So, I decided to come out of my darkness every day to write to you, my lovelies, as a way to help you navigate your own darkness. Once I’m done, I go back into my darkness to find more light. I have become an expert at the darkness. I don’t fear it, and if I feel fear, I know I’m on the right path because it leads to the unknown. The unknown is where all the treasures are found. This is something I have vowed to do: come out of the darkness with a lantern to lead others on, especially those who are afraid of the dark.
Sometimes, it takes just a little time for someone to face their darkness. I am willing to hold the lantern and lead the way. It’s what I was sent here for, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to navigate the darkness.
Embracing Your Darkness
So, beautiful ones, if you are afraid of the dark, know that you don’t have to be. I am always here, each day, to bring you a little light for your path. Embracing your darkness is a journey, and it’s okay to be scared. Remember, the light is always there, waiting for you to find it. The path may be long and winding, but with patience, effort, and a bit of humor, we can make it through together.
I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you 💙
