The Art of Feeling: Why My Feelings Change (And Yours Do Too)

Hey there, beautiful ones! Let’s have a little heart-to-heart about feelings—the ones that shift like sand beneath your feet, sneak up on you, or sometimes just make you wonder, “Wait…what am I even feeling right now?”

When someone asks me how I’m feeling, my go-to response is usually, “I’m just me.” And yes, I know that might sound like a cop-out, but here’s the thing: my feelings are a living, breathing thing. They move, morph, and often take me on an emotional rollercoaster that would make even the bravest thrill-seeker clutch their seat.

No, I’m not talking about rapid cycling (thank Source, that’s behind me!). I mean the natural ebb and flow of emotions when you’re committed to growth, healing, and being the highest version of yourself.

Moment-to-Moment Awareness: Your Emotional GPS

Some days, I wake up and old thoughts, patterns, and feelings surface. Why? Usually one of two reasons: shadow work or a little “test” from the Universe to see if I’ll sink or swim. Either way, vigilance is key. Old habits can lure you in like a catnip mouse, no matter how far you’ve come on your journey.

Here’s a fun example: I began writing this post feeling level, no high or low vibes. But as I typed, excitement bubbled up because I love sharing my experiences with all of you. Now? That excitement has mellowed into pure joy because writing has been a lifelong love of mine.

This is what living in the present moment looks like. The present is the ultimate emotional GPS—it keeps you grounded, prevents depression from the past, and shields you from anxiety about the future. Your feelings change because you are moving with life itself. Moment by moment, feeling by feeling, you’re evolving.

Not Every Feeling Belongs: Spotting the Impostors

Here’s where it gets juicy. Have you ever walked into a room, all hyped up for a fun night, and bam!—fear, awkwardness, panic, or self-consciousness hits you like a surprise pop quiz? Those feelings are not you. They’re ghosts of an old version of yourself reacting to old triggers.

And here’s the magic: you get to choose which feelings to entertain and which ones to table for later. That doesn’t mean ignoring your emotions—it means recognizing which ones are relevant right now. That panicked feeling? Acknowledge it, but don’t let it hijack your evening. Instead, choose feelings that align with your intentions: joy, excitement, curiosity.

This is emotional mastery in action. Over time, you learn to spot feelings that don’t belong. When irrational emotions linger, you get that aha! moment: “Wait…this isn’t me right now. I’m better than this.” And that’s where true empowerment begins.

Balance is the Secret Sauce

Many think a spiritual or healing journey means basking in eternal love and light. Nope. Not even close. Your feelings change because life is dynamic, and growth requires flexibility. Some things that once made you upset might now feel neutral—or even funny! The key is balance. Embrace your emotional spectrum without letting any feeling overstay its welcome.

Remember: the present is a gift, and the greatest gift you can give yourself is awareness of your feelings in every moment. It allows you to evolve, make empowered choices, and live the life you were truly meant to.

So, take a moment right now. Pause. Feel. Name your emotions without judgment. And remember, it’s okay if your feelings change five times before lunch. That’s life, baby—and it’s beautiful.

You owe it to yourself to honor what’s happening inside. Stay aware, stay present, and remember: I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
