Living as Your Higher Self

Hey there, beautiful ones. Let’s talk about goals for a bit.

So, I’m going to be honest about something: personal goals can be hard to keep. Yep, even for me. You’d think with all my talk about growth, healing, and rising from ashes, I’d have this “higher self” thing perfected, right? Wrong. The truth is, living each day as my higher self has been one of the hardest personal goals I’ve ever committed to.

You may be saying, “Wait, Trina, what do you mean?” Well, the best way to become your higher self is to live as if you already are her. Act like the version of you that has already healed, already succeeded, already manifested the life she desires. Because here’s the thing — the Universe doesn’t respond to words, it responds to energy.

When you live like the person you wish to be, the Universe doesn’t argue — it aligns. People, opportunities, and blessings start showing up that match your new vibration. The tricky part? Staying consistent. Because let’s be real, it’s easy to fall back into comfort zones that don’t serve us anymore.

Old Habits, Same Tricks: Why Change Feels So Uncomfortable

Let me tell you something about old habits — they’re like that ex who texts, “Hey, stranger,” at 11:45 p.m. They don’t want what’s best for you; they just miss their spot in your life.

Old habits are comfortable. They don’t challenge you. They don’t stretch you. And most importantly, they don’t require change. The new way of living — the higher-self way — does. And that’s why it feels like work. You have to practice your new behaviors, your new mindset, your new boundaries — over and over again — until they become second nature.

And on those days when you slip (because you will slip), it’s easy to start beating yourself up. You start thinking, “See, I’ll never get it right,” or “I knew I’d mess up eventually.” That’s where most people lose momentum. But here’s what I’ve learned: when you fall short, just start where you stopped.

Instead of letting one off day turn into a spiral of guilt, meet yourself with compassion. When I notice fear, doubt, or those sneaky insecurities creeping in, I don’t let them hijack my entire day anymore. I pause, breathe, remind myself who I’m becoming, and get right back to it. The moment you start again, the Universe starts again with you.

Becoming Her, One Choice at a Time

Becoming your higher self isn’t a one-day transformation — it’s a lifelong conversation between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. Some days, I wake up feeling completely aligned — meditating, journaling, glowing in my morning light. Other days? I’m just trying to remember where I put my coffee and why I walked into the kitchen.

But even on the messy days, I do my best. Because that’s all life really asks of us — to do our best in this moment.

I’ve learned that the pain of staying the same will always be greater than the discomfort of growth. So yes, change feels awkward. Yes, fear and self-doubt will visit. But you know what else shows up when you keep going? Peace. Confidence. Fulfillment. Freedom.

Living as your higher self isn’t about perfection — it’s about alignment. It’s about remembering that every time you choose peace over panic, faith over fear, boundaries over burnout — you are becoming her.

Think about one habit your higher self does every day — maybe she journals, eats mindfully, or says “no” without guilt. Commit to doing that one thing today. Just one. And tomorrow, do it again. Before you know it, you’ll look up and realize you are her.

So if today feels heavy or messy, don’t give up. Don’t label it as failure. Just start where you stopped. You’ve got this, beautiful one. I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
