Question of the Day #17

What were you like as a child? Is there any part of your childlike self you’ve lost? What caused you to lose touch with this part of yourself?

Break out your journal and pen because we’ve got ourselves another 3-parter.

Today’s question requires you to think about yourself as a child. This may be tough because we are made to rid ourselves of our childish ways starting as early as our teenage years.

Being a child is one of the best times in anyone’s life. Children are full of wonder and curiosity. They also have no prejudices or preconceived notions about others.

As much as we forget about our childlike selves, that part of us still remains. The inner child can be suppressed but they always exist. To be completely honest, for many of us, our shadow is actually protecting our inner child. While we may have lost sight of them, our shadow has not.

Explore this one with care. Be sure to give your inner child a hug in the process. Show yourself grace and compassion. Feel the feelings in an effort to move past them.
