Over the past month, we’ve gotten to know our shadows through shadow work. While this work is lifelong, once it’s started there are things you should take into consideration.

This would be a good time to do some deep cleaning. There’s no way you can begin to look at yourself differently but the world around you still remains the same. Everyone doesn’t have the luxury to get up and move, but that doesn’t mean you can’t alter your surroundings.
Pick any room in your home to start your deep cleaning. Preferably, the bathroom is a great place to start. Why? It’s the place you cleanse your body as well as the place you will use to do your mirror work, but that’s another conversation for another time.
Now, if you’re anything like me, you clean your bathroom regularly. However, do you do deep cleaning? I mean, scrubbing baseboards and walls down as well as wiping in places that are usually overlooked like behind the toilet.
The point of going into deep cleaning is so within as without. What’s going on the inside usually reflects on the outside. How many of us have a cluttered mind and then we look around our house and see things cluttered, especially our bedrooms?
Now that we are on our shadow work journey and are beginning to see ourselves for who we are and would like to be, we need to see our environment in the same way. Also, it can become difficult to maintain mental toughness and reflection when the world around you is in disarray.
So I implore you to take some time in your regularly scheduled program to begin deep cleaning your home and your car because, well, we spend a lot of time in them.
Trust me. Shadow work coupled with deep cleaning your home is going to do wonders for you emotionally and mentally. Don’t believe me? Go ahead. Pick a room. Any room.
Don’t forget to come and let me know how it works out for you.
