Hey there, beautiful ones! Buckle up because, moving along with this theme, there’s a profound lesson I stumbled upon – the striking difference between belief and faith. Hold onto your hats, because it turns out, many of us (including yours truly) might not have had a clue about this disparity until this past year.

Faith: The Unseen Force Behind Belief
As my journey unfolded, my once unshakable beliefs were tossed into a cosmic blender, leaving me questioning everything I thought I knew. Beliefs, my friends, are like the surface-level GPS of our minds, often shaped by upbringing, environment, culture, and society. But here’s the kicker: belief is not synonymous with faith. No, sir! Faith is the unwavering trust and resilience that persists even when life throws its toughest curveballs.
It dawned on me that I blindly believed in many things without truly having faith in them. Picture this: I believed in the tooth fairy as a kid, but did I have faith in her existence? Spoiler alert: nope! It’s like the difference between thinking your team might win the championship and knowing they will – that’s the power of faith.

Unveiling My Beliefs and Rewiring Faith
Now, let’s talk about the elephant in the room – religion, relationships, and career aspirations. Brace yourselves; it’s about to get real. Growing up as a preacher’s kid in a Christian household, I later converted to Islam and spent 15 solid years in that faith. Yet, amidst this spiritual journey, I realized I believed in religion but lacked genuine faith.
Enter shadow work – the ultimate detective agency for the soul. It unearthed layers of trauma around both Christianity and Islam, unveiling my lack of true faith in either. It was time for a radical change, even if it meant stepping back and facing the discomfort of self-ostracization.
This revelation wasn’t exclusive to religion; it extended its tentacles to relationships and career aspirations. I believed in people and certain career paths, but did I have faith in them? History, my dear reader, proved otherwise.
So here’s the challenge: scrutinize your beliefs and inspect the foundation of your faith. Do they align, or are they two ships passing in the night? Are your beliefs rooted in your truth, or are they hostages to societal, familial, or peer pressures? Let’s not blindly follow the herd – especially when it comes to faith.
In conclusion, as tough as it may be to confront these revelations, remember that understanding and enlightenment often arise from facing the difficult questions. I have faith in you, yes, you reading this. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
