Embrace the Shift: How Shadow Work Changes Perspectives

Hey there, beautiful ones! A little over a year ago, I found myself standing at a crossroads, unsure of which path to take. I was grappling with something I didn’t quite understand, something that seemed to linger beneath the surface of my consciousness. Little did I know, it was the beginning of a transformative journey into the depths of myself – a journey into shadow work.

Embracing the Unknown

I’ll be honest; I had no clue what shadow work was at first. It sounded mysterious, almost mystical, like something out of a fantasy novel. But as I delved deeper, I realized it was anything but fiction. It was a journey of self-discovery, a process of confronting the aspects of myself that I had long neglected or denied.

I believe in one go-round in this beautiful, chaotic dance we call life. There are no do-overs, no second chances. When the music stops, that’s it. And boy, am I glad that I know what I now know. Embracing shadow work has allowed me to embrace the duality of existence, to see the light and the dark, the joy and the sorrow, the beauty and the ugliness.

A Shift in Perspective

At 40 years young, I feel like I’m just beginning to truly live. Through shadow work, I’ve gained a newfound awareness – not just of myself, but of the world around me. It’s like putting on a pair of glasses and suddenly seeing everything in crystal clarity. I’ve learned to recognize, feel, process, and release the burdens I’ve been carrying for three decades.

Now, I won’t pretend that I’m completely healed. Healing is a journey, not a destination. But with each step I take, I’m not only healing my own wounds but those of my ancestors as well. It’s a ripple effect, a cascade of healing that reverberates through time and space.

Changing the Narrative

One of the most profound lessons I’ve learned is that everything can change if you’re willing to change your mind. Perspective is everything. When you allow yourself to see beyond the confines of your past and present, the possibilities become endless. You become the author of your own story, the master of your own destiny.

It’s a liberating feeling, knowing that you have the power to rewrite the script of your life. To turn the page and start anew. And as the world around us shifts and changes, it’s imperative that we learn to adapt. For if we remain stagnant, we risk being swept away by the tide of change.

Embrace the Shift

So, my dear friends, I urge you to embrace the shift. Dive headfirst into the depths of yourself. Explore the shadows, confront the demons, and emerge stronger on the other side. The journey won’t be easy, but it will be worth it.

In the end, it’s not about reaching some elusive destination; it’s about embracing the journey, with all its twists and turns, ups and downs. So here’s to embracing the shift, to stepping into the light, and to living life to the fullest.

I believe in you. I believe in your strength, your resilience, your capacity for growth. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙

Insightful and honest. I love your light, Trina. At 40 you are wise beyond your years. I am approaching a youthful 62, and truly embrace personal evolution. My favorite part of your piece today is “…Healing is a journey, not a destination.”
Profound words from such a beautiful soul. Keep spreading your light, Trina. The world needs all it can get.

    I’m re-blogging this one.
