Standing on Business: Embracing the S.O.B. Mentality

Hey there, beautiful one! If you’ve stumbled upon this post, let me introduce you to a little secret about me—I’m an S.O.B. But hold your horses before you judge me too quickly! Being an S.O.B. in my world doesn’t mean what you might think. It’s not about being a tough cookie or a hard-nosed businessperson (though I can be when necessary!). No, in my book, S.O.B. stands for Standing On Business, and it’s how I navigate both my personal and professional life.

The Dumpster Fire Days

Let me take you back to a time when my personal life resembled a dumpster fire, while my professional facade barely held up. I was what you might call a halfway S.O.B.—Standing, Sort of, On Business. My personal promises were as flimsy as wet tissue paper, and my professional aspirations were drowned out by the chaos of my personal struggles.

But here’s the kicker: When I began to prioritize personal growth and commit to standing on my business, everything changed. It was like flipping a switch. Suddenly, the chaos subsided, and clarity emerged.

Following Through on Promises

Standing on business is about more than just lip service. It’s about honoring the promises you make to yourself. If you declare that this year is yours for the taking, then you better be ready to roll up your sleeves and make it happen.

For me, it started with small promises—committing to posting a blog and social media post every single day for 365 days. I’m currently on day 255 with this one! But let me tell you, that 365-day promise didn’t start as a grand gesture. It began with a single step and evolved with each milestone.

Building Momentum

Every promise I make to myself becomes a building block for my future. Whether it’s questioning everything within and without, or refusing to back down in the face of fear, I build upon my commitments day by day. And guess what? It’s paid off in spades.

Standing on business isn’t just a solo journey—it’s about surrounding yourself with people who challenge and support you. I’m fortunate to have a tribe that keeps me accountable, even when the going gets tough. They push me past my limits and help me bring my inner visions to life.

Becoming an S.O.B.

So, why should you consider becoming an S.O.B.? Because it’s the only way to live a life of purpose and fulfillment. When you stand on your business, you inspire others to do the same. Your journey becomes a beacon of hope for those who dare to dream.

So, dear friends, I implore you—embrace the S.O.B. mentality. Be unapologetically committed to your dreams and relentless in your pursuit of greatness. I believe in you, and I know that together, we can change the world—one S.O.B. at a time.

And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
