Hey there, beautiful ones! Let’s talk about something we don’t often see plastered all over Instagram: the messy, snotty reality of a breakdown. Yep, you heard me right. I recently found myself in a hotel room, surrounded by tissues and tears, looking like I’d gone ten rounds in the ring with a particularly ruthless opponent.

Loneliness in the Land of Wanderlust
Now, you might be wondering, “Trina, what on earth could have possibly reduced you to a sniveling, red-eyed mess?” Well, buckle up, because here’s the scoop: amidst all the excitement of traveling, meeting new people, and embracing new experiences, I found myself grappling with a giant, hairy monster called loneliness.
This monster caught me off guard and seriously questioning what had become of my former life. The reality of being newly divorced and traveling alone had finally hit me. But it was something that was bound to happen and couldn’t be avoided.

Embracing the Messy, Beautiful Chaos
So, what’s the silver lining in this cloud of snot and tears, you ask? Well, my darlings, it’s this: I learned the invaluable lesson that it’s okay to fall apart sometimes. In fact, it’s downright necessary. Because in those moments of raw vulnerability, we find the strength to confront our demons, face our fears, and emerge stronger and wiser than ever before.
So, to all my fellow beautiful messes out there, I say this: embrace the chaos, lean into the tears, and know that you are never alone. And remember, my lovelies, it’s okay to break down, as long as you remember to build yourself back up even stronger. I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
