Hey there, beautiful ones! Today, I want to peel back the curtain and share a little piece of my journey with you. You see, for the longest time, I’ve struggled with this idea that being alone meant I was somehow flawed or unlovable. It’s a narrative that’s been playing on repeat in the soundtrack of my life since I was a teenager, echoing the sentiments of well-meaning (but often misguided) siblings and society at large.

From Self-Doubt to Self-Love
After years of trying to fit into someone else’s mold, of contorting myself into whatever shape I thought would make me more lovable, I finally had a revelation. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t working. No matter how much I twisted and turned, no matter how many hoops I jumped through, I never seemed to be enough for anyone else. And that’s when it hit me like a ton of bricks: maybe the problem wasn’t me. Maybe the problem was trying to be someone I wasn’t in the first place.

Finding Freedom in Solitude
So, armed with this newfound clarity, I made a bold decision: I chose to love myself, quirks and all. And you know what? It was the most liberating thing I’ve ever done. Instead of rushing headlong into another relationship out of fear of being alone, I decided to embrace solitude and revel in the freedom it afforded me. And let me tell you, my lovelies, it’s been nothing short of a revelation.
So, to anyone out there who’s ever felt like they needed to be in a relationship to be whole, or who’s ever felt like they had to sacrifice their authenticity for the sake of love, I say this: you are perfect just the way you are. And if being alone means giving yourself the space to grow, to thrive, and to fall madly in love with the incredible person staring back at you in the mirror, then so be it.
I believe in you. And remember, as always, I love you. 💙
